I was born and raised in Vermont. I did live in Houston my first two years of High School and that is where I met my future wife, Liz. After graduating high school in Vermont, I enlisted in the US Air Force. While stationed in Minot, ND I was married to Liz. The same year we were married I was reassigned and we ended up in Omaha, NE.

After four years I separated from the military and we moved to Houston, TX. I was first employed with Pan American World Airways at the Johnson Space Center. I worked at Pan Am for one year before I found my career job with IBM. I worked for IBM as a Customer Engineer for 36 years and retired January 2018.

My interest in genealogy came from work done by my mother and an older sister. My paternal ancestors came to America in the late 1800’s from Scotland and England. My maternal ancestors first arrived in America in the mid-late 1600’s from England and Ireland. My ancestors are early New England, Southwestern Quebec and Vermont settlers. I am also currently a member of the Genealogical Society of Vermont.

I have been a member of WHAGS since 2018 and have enjoyed the members friendship and the programs through the years. I have decided to be more involved with WHAGS with the hope I can help build upon the strong foundation that has already been established.
